I like to create items from wood I've harvested on Glassy Mountain. Most items I make use wood that was taken from building sites or from my own property. It is cut with a chainsaw mill, planed and air dried. Most of the items shown use wild cherry which has interesting grain.
Here is my first creation, a heart shaped box with cherry and poplar:

This tall box is made of solid wild cherry with the drawer pulls made from the outer white wood the same cherry tree:

This final box is made of solid cherry and uses hand-cut cherry hinges made of all wood:
